My biggest learning was changing to using &#39;proper&#39; oil paints. In my case Michael Harding. Most of my painting is done in the studio so I have the luxury of having lots of things on hand. I&#39;ve started experimenting with liquin and also stand oil/turps mix for making lovely rich glazes.<br /><br />I have to thank you actually for another bit of my learning. I mix colours on the palette with a knife now. I think the wind noise adds to the experience.
