Last week I went to visit my framer Geraint Davies in Frome.

It's always a pleasure to spend time there, drinking strong coffee, choosing mouldings and finishes, and catching up. I couldn't resist the chance to snap a few shots of his workshop on my phone.

On the easel is one of my summer Stour paintings. I'm looking forward to collecting it on Saturday.

Good to see your work getting the dressing it requires :)

Been following and enjoying your blog for some time now, you write eloquently on the attractions of painting directly from nature. You are lucky to find a good framer, I find a lot of framers don't carry mouldings for canvases, they are fine for flat work but give them a canvas to frame and they are stumped. Keep up the good work.
