As finished work leaves the studio I'm preparing more canvases for the seascapes and other paintings I'm going to work on in the coming months.
The first stage of this process is to slot together the bought stretchers, and cut canvas to size from a large roll.

Hi Chris,
I'm getting a good stock of canvases ready so that I am not in a situation where I dont have the right size canvas to hand when I need it.
I'm tempted not to prime them all with lead primer this time, leaving some just sized: makes a refreshing change from working on a strong white ground.
